Position: Receptionist
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic medical receptionist to join our busy and well established medical centre at Port Stephens.
We are open Monday – Saturday and are highly committed to providing outstanding quality care for our patients. We have a great team and a happy working environment.
This will be a casual position between 10-20 hours but can process into something more permanent for the right candidate.
The ideal applicant will:
- Experience required but not essential
- Have a professional and polished face-to-face and phone manner
- Possess great written and verbal communication skills
- Have shift flexibility – with a mixture of weekdays and some Saturdays, we can offer a pattern

My Medical Services Port Stephens is a medium size, beautiful purpose-built practice AGPAL accredited teaching general practice and is currently seeking an EXPERIENCED Practice Nurse to join our team.
• Part-time/casual position
• Ongoing support and training
Essential selection criteria:
• Registered Nurse (Div 1) or Enrolled Endorsed Nurse with at least two years experience in general practice nursing.
• Duties include but are not limited to:
o Triage and patient assessment;
o Clinical patient care incl. wound care, immunization, ear syringing, assistance with minor surgical procedures;
o Diagnostic services incl. ECG,
o Women’s Health
o Ear syringe
o infection control and sterilization;
o Managing recall & reminder system; clinical data management; maintaining medical supplies; accreditation compliance
o Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of any practice management software (we use Medical Director/Pracsoft)
o The demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision
o Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
o Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
o Ability to extend hours to cover periods of leave & additional patient services
o Current driver license

Position: Practice Manager

• Providing quality leadership through quality management, inspiration, and motivation within the team
• Provide ongoing planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of all aspects relating to the practice, and implement improvements/changes where necessary.
• Ensure the delivery and standard of the practice’s processes and procedures are maintained at a high standard and accommodate the future growth of the practice
• Develop business plans, strategic plans, and marketing initiatives (in conjunction with Principals) to promote the growth and further success of the practice

Essential criteria:
• 3 years Previous management experience in a General Practice
• Solid billing/ accounts experience
• Have knowledge of medical software

• Strong business acumen skills
• You are innovative and creative to implement marketing ideas and strategies
