Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy

Promotes the repair of soft tissue in the body through the injection
of a non-active “irritant” solution, which prompts swelling to
strengthen weakened connective tissue and relieving musculoskeletal pain.

Often administered in situations of sports injury or chronic pain, prolotherapy is a natural, low-risk alternative to surgery or joint replacement. “Prolotherapy” refers to the therapeutic effect of promoting the proliferation (growth, formation) of new tissue in areas of damage and pain. By stimulating the body’s inflammatory response around the damaged or painful area, the healing process is re-engaged.

Arthritis refers to painful joints. There are different types of arthritis that are classified according to the underlying cause.Often the symptoms can overlap and conditions can co-exist. While traumatic arthritis generally settles with avoiding aggravating activity, using simple analgesia judiciously and physical therapies to recondition the affected limbs to reduce the risk of re-injury, the more chronic arthritic conditions are generally not curable but are manageable and need to be managed as chronic recurring diseases with rehabilitation therapies, chronic pain management and arthritis specific medications.A rewarding effective treatment for chronic musculoskeletal pain. At last a real treatment, not just symptom relief.

Prolotherapy actually heals ligamentous strain using mild inflammation to trigger the healing cascade and generate new collagen.
