PRP Skin Rejuvenation

PRP Skin Rejuvenation

What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a popular and natural injectable treatment which uses your body’s own cells from your blood for rejuvenation, healthy skin maintenance, and to delay ageing.

Describe the Process of PRP

A sample of blood is taken from the patient. The sample is then placed in a centrifuge. The centrifugation process is used to remove the red blood cells, which leaves the “liquid gold” or PRP which contains the higher concentrations of growth factors.

The injector collects the PRP immediately and transfers it to a needle or a number of needles and then reinjects it into the areas where the patient would like rejuvenation.

HOW DOES PRP WORK?

The growth factors in the plasma stimulates stem cells leading to acceleration in soft tissue healing and regeneration.

Is PRP a safe procedure?

Like all medical procedures, there are risks associated. The most common risks are bruising at the injection sites and swelling. Because your own plasma is used, the procedure in general has a lower side effect profile than dermal fillers.
